Baby Weights

After 45 minutes running on the treadmill, Jeremy decided to lift some weights. He says they are almost even.

Kylie and Aidyn on Gotchaversary

Thanks to Kim for getting these pics to us. We stayed at their house a few nights while we were in Atlanta. The girls were born within a week of each other and if their current attitudes are any indication, we are all going to have our hands full when they become teenagers. Drama.

Jesus and the Gatorade Storm

Spencer stirs up a storm.

Everytime I pick Spence up from preschool his teacher, Mrs. Stephany, brings Spence to the van. He climbs in and scrambles to dig into his preschool bag so he can pull out that day's craft project. He is so happy and proud each day to show me what he made at school. Today he whipped out a bottle full of blue liquid and sparkles. He told me all about what he learned at school:
"Jesus was trying to sleep on a boat and the boat was about to sink because a storm was making the water go (and here he shook his bottle). Then Jesus told the storm to 'Be Still' and I made Jesus' storm with gatorade."

Funny kid. As I type he has given up on me reading a library book to him and he is reading it aloud to himself. Amazing to me that he can memorize these Learn to Read books. He is saying it almost verbatim. It is 64 pages long, mostly conversations between animals. I hate reading it bc it takes forever. Of course, the book is about critters playing football so I guess with that topic it should be easy for him to remember. Would love to get it on video but anytime i get the camera out he becomes shy.

Backyard Horses

The kids finally got to pet the horses that live in the pasture behind our house. Well yesterday we were excited for the kids bc they have wanted to pet them since we moved in. But of course, Aidyn LOVES petting them, so now anytime the back door is open i have to continuously check her whereabouts bc she heads straight for the fence and calls out to them. So far, the horses have come to her everytime. And being so itty bitty, she can easily get to the horses. Life is Never dull. (unless i'm asleep but then i don't get to enjoy it.)

Aidyn's 1st anniversary

Aidyn's dinner at China Pearl in Roswell, September 13th.

We reserved the party room and filled it up with friends to celebrate Aidyn's first anniversary with us. The kids enjoyed the dance floor. I wish this photo could convey the fun they had, loud fun. And I wish everyone who tried to come from playgroup and discover group could have made it that night. Our kids enjoyed being "home" and seeing their friends. Thanks to the Starbirds, Shaws, Buchanans, Fogas, Carey, Lanning and Collins families for making this a fun party for Aidyn.

Also on Aidyn's gotchaversary, we met four other families at the zoo. Parent tip: always have enough zoo maps to go around. The girls all wanted one. As you can see here, Grace Ingram really needs a map . . . even though Mackenzie is the only one close to being able to read one. The meerkats, tiger, and pandas were the crowd favorites with the girls, and Spence liked riding the train.

We had dinner one night at Josh and Kim's new home. Aidyn and Spencer loved Paxton's new Jeep. And we got to see what our future holds in about 13 years. I captured these faces as they rode around me at a fast clip. And look how big Lorelei is now. What sweet children.

Game Day in Alabama

Two months old

Preston weighed 12.6 lbs at his two month appointment. He is still a sweet baby. He smiles and makes cooing sounds. And he is still easy to care for bc he rarely cries. Thanks to Sarah and Jay for this cute outfit.
